Aries Full Moon 2021

This month's FULL MOON falls in the Fire sign of Aries at 27 degrees 26' October 20, 2021 @ 7:57 AM MST/10:57 AM EDT.

Find a way to balance your needs with others. The first step, get into right relationship with yourself.

This Aries FULL MOON asks us to examine how we express our individuality within society. The Aries Moon wants to express its originality independently, in its own unique style, without thinking about how it affects others. The Libra Sun conjunct Libra Mars communicates itself through actions that are considerate of others, undoubtedly thinking about what others want and need. At the Full Moon opposition, these two energies, self and other, need balancing.

The Aries/Libra axis is about the "I/Thou" extremes and how they relate with each other. Problems develop on both ends of the spectrum. When we think only of ourselves OR only about others, we create challenges. Moderation is required to achieve balance. How do we create WIN-WIN situations? CAN we create WIN-WIN solutions? This Aries Full Moon allows us the opportunity to try anew.

Aries likes its freedom, and Libra likes its relationships. Can we achieve independence within a relationship? How do we relate to our freedoms? Can we remain an individual within a relationship, or do we lose ourselves when we join? Are we co-dependent or overly independent? This Full Moon asks us to look at where we could improve our relationship balance, both with ourselves and others.

Do you bring too much dependence to your relationship, having your partner do things that you could? Or, do you try to go it alone in your relationship, pushing your partner away? Both bring challenges. When whole individuals come together, they create a healthy, balanced partnership. When fractured individuals relate, they create co-dependency. Finding the balance between self and others is key to a healthy relationship with yourself and those others! Being in the right relationship with yourself is the first step.

When we achieve the right relationship with ourselves, we experience the ebb and flow of energy running between ourselves and others. Eventually, we begin to see the "I/Thou" axis as more than two choices, two either/or extremes. Imagine a line segment with two final points, A and B. Or in relationship terms, it's either you OR me. Now, imagine the infinity symbol superimposed upon that line segment, encircling those points A and B. Intersection of the extremes takes place in the middle. In relationship terms, it's you AND me BOTH, in a balanced give and take.

Pitting ourselves against each other, we relate from a place of dominance (either/or). Cooperating, we relate from a place of connection (and/both). This Full Moon asks us to examine if we dominate or cooperate. Is one or the other hurting us, helping us?

There is a T-square to Pluto involving this Full Moon, which suggests an opportunity to change what we are doing to align better with what we need. Is what we are doing and what we need to be doing conflicting? If so, what do we have to change to become more congruent?

In addition to the Pluto T-square, we have a challenging square between Venus and Neptune. This square brings some confusion concerning relationships, whether they genuinely meet our desires or are merely an illusion. Neptune is considered the higher vibration of the planet Venus, so the challenge to see our relationship clearly offers the opportunity to spiritualize it as well. Meaning, if it is not what we believe it to be, we have an excellent chance to see it for what it is and then decide whether it aligns with our Soul's purpose. Meeting this challenge also allows us to pursue our dreams creatively, stepping forward in beauty.

Saturn and Uranus remain in a square with each other. Old pitted against that which is trying to come into existence, rules versus chaos. Interestingly, we stumble with this energy because we are stuck in the either/or perception. When we recognize there is a time for each, we will better harness the power within this pair. Until then, enjoy the tussle.

Lastly, there is a Yod pattern to the planet Uranus, indicating that we expect the unexpected regarding our desires, relationships, and perceptions. The Rolling Stones song, "You Can't Always Get What You Want," comes to mind. The sudden knowing may come in the form of lightning-shattering clarity, a thunderbolt from out of the blue, as to whether or not what we want is what we need. So, look for Ah-hah moments around the Full Moon that change what we think about how we relate, both to ourselves and others.

We are experiencing a transformational time right now involving our inner selves and personal lives and the society and world in which we live. Everywhere we look, change is around us. We must reflect on what we have been doing and whether it helps us attain what we want and need. We must change because it is time. Orderly chaos is re-ordering itself, restructuring that which no longer serves, creating that which wants to begin.

When we know what we need, we get to move forward and change our world(s).

As FULL MOONS are a time for releasing, release that which gets in the way of standing up for yourself and following your unique and independent path with courage.
